To get there, we took the subway, then went up a steep hill via escalators and (unfortunately) stairs, that led us to a side entrance of the park. Our first stop was Elche, home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site Palm Forest. Our next stop was a beach near Valencia, Spain. Granada is home to one of the main attraction in Spain, the Alhambra. The Alhambra, which means red fortress in Arabic, is an old palace complex dating back to the early 14th century. The grounds and gardens are amazing and the inside, though non-furnished, is still beautiful. The complex is very large with lots of different buildings and gardens. Gibraltar is a really tiny spot on the tip of Spain that is actually a British territory so you have to go through passport control because you are going into another country. You can drive into Gibraltar but it is very difficult to find a parking spot there because there are nearly as many cars as people! We met up with our ho .. mor....
