Barcelona by Martha

On Sunday, June 7 in Barcelona, we went to Park Guell, designed by Antoni Gaudi, who is probably Spain's most famous architect. To get there, we took the subway, then went up a steep hill via escalators and (unfortunately) stairs, that led us to a side entrance of the park.  We started making our way to the front entrance, where all the main attractions are located. Spanish Coastal Road Trip by Olivia

From Granada, we made our way up the east coast of Spain, with our final destination as Barcelona. We were joined by our mom's friend from college, Jimmy. We swam in the water, which was so warm, and had a quick look at the interesting architecture of Valencia. The last day we made it all the way up to Barcelona. We were starving so we and Jimmy headed to a .. mor....

The grounds and gardens are amazing and the inside, though non-furnished, is still beautiful. The complex is very large with lots of different buildings and gardens. The main rooms have carved walls, many .. mor....

Gibraltar by Martha

The day after we arrived in Spain to stay at our friend's house, we all piled into our car and drove to the tip of Spain in order to cross over to Gibraltar. Gibraltar is a really tiny spot on the tip of Spain that is actually a British territory so you have to go through passport control because you are going into another country. You can drive into Gibraltar but it is very difficult to find a parking spot there because there are nearly as many cars as people! We met up with our ho .. mor....
