Do I deserve a refund for a closed pool?

As a silver-level Latitude program member, Judith Pearlstein counts herself among NCL's top customers. So when her Presidents's Day weekend cruise to The Bahamas didn't go as planned, she expected the company to step up and make things right.

NASA, Nassau, and Baseball

We got back a few days ago from a Spring Break trip to Florida. We had a really good time with the boys and Oma (Jenny’s mom) as we took a short cruise to The Bahamas, caught a Cardinals Spring Training game, spent a day at Kennedy Space Center, and met briefly with the Amazing Randi. This is actually our third straight Spring Break trip to Florida, an .. more ..

Bonefish, SCUBA, and Lots of Tours.

So I have now been here in The Bahamas for just over a month. And I am now finally feeling somewhat comfortable here. When I last wrote, I was just starting to get slightly annoyed by the fact that I was not doing anything fixed. That frustration continued for a couple of weeks. It was so bad that Sarah, the other Gap Year Program participant, decided to go home and left a week ago. She had some other problems at home, but it was clear that our l .. more ..

Bahamas!

So now I am here in The Bahamas. Hit me with a brick, as my mother would say. I am in the gap year program here at the Cape Eleuthera Institute which is right next to the Island School, if you know that. I get to help the interns here. Well, they're not interns, they are 'research assistants.' (They're interns.) Between CEI and the Island School, this is the most eco-friendly place I have ever been. Our power is generated by the wind and the sun, our rainwa .. more ..

South Africa, here I come!

Okay, so it is about 5:30 in the morning and I am waiting while my hair dries. I am amazingly awake. I am leaving for my project in St. Lucia, South Africa. I am going to spend a few days in a game reserve with my dad beforehand, as well as about a day in London between my flights. After that, I am going to a project in The Bahamas. So... Yes. That is the current state of affairs here in New York. Well, not New York for long. I am really excited, but I d .. more ..

Lanzarote Volcanic Treasure

For a small island – measuring just 58km long by 34 km wide - Lanzarote has long been hugely popular with overseas visitors.  Thanks to this speck of Spain’s idyllic location – just seventy miles off the coast of Africa.  And on the same line of latitude as parts of Florida, Mexico and The Bahamas.  Creating a fantastically clement year round climate that has in the passed earned Lanzarote the sobriquet of the Island of Eternal Spring.  Add in ove .. more ..

12/31/04 - Half Moon Cay, Bahamas

Half Moon Cay is a small, 1/2 moon-shaped privately owned island on The Bahamas. There are no attractions except the sandy beach and clear waters. The back of the island looked kind of abandoned, but also kind of cool.
