Alkmaar Cheese Market, The Netherlands Although Amanda acknowledges that the Cheese Market in Alkmaar, around 20 miles from Amsterdam, is a bit of tourist show, it’s still some colourful, if staged, fun.
Posted 219 days ago at Europe a la Carte BlogA spur-of-the-moment trip to The Netherlands forced me to try something I've never done before in Europe: stay in a bed & breakfast. Many hotels were already booked and others were too expensive. I stumbled across a website promoting B&B's and decided to give it a try. My selection process requires expert precision.
